Durango Senior Photographer | Webb Wright’s Senior Session Sneak Preview! | Allison Ragsdale Photography
Webb is a Class of 2011 Senior at Durango High School. He came in for his portrait session about 2 weeks ago and was so great to photograph! He was so comfortable and natural in front of the camera and all the poses he put himself into were exactly what I strive to put other people into – and he did it without even trying! And look at his blue, blue eyes!We found a new alley I hadn’t shot in before, which was very fun. The fall colors were still really nice and there was a random couch sitting outside that we used for a prop. Webb brought his skateboard and we did some portraits with him sitting/standing on it – which I loved because it was such a subtle prop. Thanks so much for the fun session Webb; hope you love these!
Durango Senior Photographer | Sarah Zemach’s Senior Session Sneak Preview! | Allison Ragsdale Photography
Sarah is a Class of 2011 Senior at Durango High School. She and 4 of her friends wanted to do a “friends” session, so at the beginning of her senior portrait session, we photographed Sarah and her friends. It was so fun – they are all gorgeous and so easy to work with! They looked great in their black and were up for anything. We started behind the Double Tree and then headed toward Main Ave for an alley setting. The girls had to get back to practice, etc. after that, so Sarah and I took a few more portraits of just her in the alley, then drove around town stopping at various locations. We found so many great fall colors and fun colored backgrounds. Sarah was really great to work with and she had so many great ideas and fun props – such as her cow hat. Here are a few of my faves from the friends session and from Sarah’s session – hope you love them!
Durango Senior Photographer | Alex Max’s Senior Session Sneak Preview! | Allison Ragsdale Photography
Alex is a Class of 2011 Senior at Durango High School ( who will graduate early – March – nice huh!). I’ve had the opportunity to photograph Alex before, for his family session earlier this fall and as part of the student council session for prom last year. So, I was pretty excited for his senior session, to say the least. I had the hardest time narrowing down his images because I loved them all! We had cloudy afternoon light to shoot in, so we went all over town: along the river for some fall colors, a few downtown alleys, the Smiley building, to name a few. I loved all of Alex’s different expressions and those green eyes! Hope you love these few of my faves and I can’t wait to share the rest!
Durango Senior Photographer | Lindsey Jankowski’s Senior Session Sneak Preview! | Allison Ragsdale Photography
Lindsey is a Class of 2011 Senior at Durango High School and also one of our models. She has become “famous” at Hair Fusion ever since her model session because of her gorgeous long blond hair and beautiful blue/green eyes. Hair Fusion did her hair and make up for her model session and they proudly show off her portraits in their salon. She looked just as amazing for her senior session last Monday! I had a great time photographing her in the fall colors; we drove up to Durango Mountain Resort (hopped on a chair lift for a few portraits) and the surrounding areas. It was pretty peak up there in terms of yellows – perfect! It was also slightly chilly up there in the late afternoon – fall is definitely here. Lindsey was going to wear a skirt for some of her portraits but it was too cold! We got so many great images – here are a few of my faves!
Durango Senior Photographer | Blair Swearingen’s Senior Session Sneak Preview! | Allison Ragsdale Photography
Blair is a Class of 2011 Senior at Durango High School and has the coolest home! We used her house and all of the cool stuff on her property for the location of her senior portraits and it was so perfect and unique! Fun wagons, an old car, the white porch with rocking chairs, and pretty white wrought iron chairs were just a few of the many props we got to use. I was like a little kid in a candy store running around out there! Plus Blair was really fun to photograph and easy to work with – she was up for anything and looked good doing anything. I got to photograph her again a few days after her senior session for a “friend session” with 4 of her friends and another beautiful senior client of ours, Sarah Zemack, so stay tuned for that sneak preview as well! Thanks Blair for the great session(s) and I hope you love these few of my faves!
Durango Senior Photographer | Hayley Foran’s Senior Session Sneak Preview! | Allison Ragsdale Photography
Hayley is a Class of 2011 Senior at Durango High School. I love her freckles and beautiful hair – great combination with the fall colors! She brought just 2 outfits – unusual these days for a girl’s senior session – but they were perfect – black, which goes with everything, and purple, which goes great with the fall colors and looks great on Hayley! We went to some of the usual spots, such as the hanging bridge and the train tracks, but also ventured around the library and ended up back in the studio – for the “mandatory” fan blowing hair portrait – one of my faves! It was so fun and Hayley’s mom was a great help as my assistant and Hayley’s sister helped with wardrobe, holding purses, and moral support. Thanks guys for such a great session – hope you love these few of my faves!
Durango Senior Photographer | Tashay Smith’s Senior Session Sneak Preview! | Allison Ragsdale Photography
Tashay is a Class of 2011 Senior at Bloomfield High School and her session was so cool because of all her beautiful jewelery, her traditional outfit, and her cowgirl hat, to mention a few. I was so impressed by her outfits! We had a lot of fun and were working within a time constraint, so these intricate clothing changes occurred fast and furiously, and Tashay managed to look perfect anyways! We started in the studio as it was a morning session and still slightly chilly outside, then headed over to junction creek and then a really cool fence across from Miller Middle School. Tashay’s mom and sister (with her sister’s adorable baby girl) came along for the session and they were a huge help! Here are a few of my faves, hope you love them!
Durango Senior Photographer | Jake Seikman’s Senior Session Sneak Preview! | Allison Ragsdale Photography
Jake, a Class of 2011 Senior at Durango High School, was so much fun to photograph! I know I say that about everyone I photograph, but it’s true! I have the best looking and funnest clients (is funnest a word, it should probably be most fun?)! So, Jake and I started in the studio, then headed outside for some architectural/industrial looks. We ended up behind a tire store in a bunch of “junk”, which made Jake point out that some people’s junk really is someone else’s treasure – mine! There were some great fall colors along the river, so we had to use those too. I loved the red sweater Jake was wearing and when I first picked my favorites, all 5 of them were in the sweater – so I had to get rid of some of those and add in some other colors – hope you love them!
Durango Senior Photographer | Lynsey Barnes & Emmily Nau’s Senior Session Sneak Preview | Allison Ragsdale Photography
This session was sooo fun! Lynsey and Emmily, both Class of 2011 Seniors at Durango High School wanted to do their senior portrait session together, so we did. They started at Hair Fusion, getting hair and make up done and they both looked beautiful! Then we headed out to Rotary Park for the classic train tracks and river portraits. Emmily had the idea of being photographed in a pumpkin patch, as it is October and fall. I absolutely loved the idea, so I found a pumpkin patch and the owner was really great and let us come out and photograph all we wanted! Too cute! Then we came back into town and ended up at the studio, after a quick stop for a large bag of cheetos and a few pictures. The girls were so funny making sure their teeth were clean of any orange from the cheetos after they snacked. We got out the fan and blew their hair around for a bit to end the night. Thank you two so much for the super fun session and I hope you love these few of my faves so far!
Durango Senior Photographer | Colin Marshall’s Senior Session Sneak Preview! | Allison Ragsdale Photography
Colin is a Class of 2011 Senior at Durango High School and one of our models. You may have noticed a theme here – all our models wanted fall colors for their portraits, so I think they all came in within a 2 week period – yay! I love fall colors – I wish it was fall all of the time – I’m such a fan of sweaters and boots too, so I love the fall weather too! Anyway, back to Colin! Colin and I went hiking in Cascade Canyon for her portraits – while she was wearing a dress and heels! I was very impressed! We stopped in a few aspen groves along the way and as the afternoon got stormy and blustery, we attempted to chase a few patches of blowing leaves. Cascade Canyon was so beautiful and a very unique location as I had never shot a senior there before. Fun! Thanks Colin for such a great and adventurous session! Hope you love these faves of mine!
Durango Senior Photographer | Nina Burtoni’s Senior Session Sneak Preview! | Allison Ragsdale Photography
Nina is a Class of 2011 Senior at Durango High School and was a homecoming queen nominee! As you can see by her portraits, she is just gorgeous and I had a great time photographing her! I felt awful because the minute she walked in the door, it started pouring down rain in buckets! The weather was beautiful all day until that exact moment. So, we headed south, away from the rain – driving through flooding streets to get there – it was intense! But, we found some great new locations that I had never used, so I say it turned out great! We ended up driving through Wildcat Canyon for a while, then back into downtown Durango once the rain had “stopped”. It started raining again at our last location, so we called it a day. I had a hard time choosing just 5 for Nina’s sneak preview, but here are my faves, hope you love them!
Durango Senior Photographer | Carly Bentley’s Senior Session Sneak Preview! | Allison Ragsdale Photography
Carly, a Class of 2011 Senior at Ignacio High School is also one of our models. She came in for her senior session last Saturday and we had a blast! Carly brought lots of things to use in her photos: her flute, her bow, her book, a bench, fun shoes, her jersey, etc, etc! It was so fun to find ways to hang her bow in the trees and move her bench out of the road every time a car came by – always an adventure. “Adventures with Allison” – copyright Kelcie Scott – a Class of 2010 DHS Senior. It had been Ignacio’s homecoming week the week before, so Carly still had on her orange nail polish! She looked gorgeous and brought great colors for the locations we photographed in! Here are a few of my faves – hope you love them!
