We photographed Kristi and James early last Thursday morning for their engagement session. They were staying in Kristi’s parents’ home, where the wedding will be held, so we started their session out there. It is such a beautiful property and I am so excited to photograph their wedding! We used the beautiful fence line, the rustic wagon, the river, the trees, etc. Kristi had seen a really cute image using her engagement ring as the letter “o” when spelling things with scrabble letters, so we created our own version. I loved their attire, especially their boots, so we used those for some possible “save the date” images as well. Then we headed into town for some “downtown Durango” portraits. James’s last name is Jarvis, so we used the Jarvis hotel in a few shots. Kristi and James are planning to use the Strater Hotel for their rehearsal dinner so we incorporated the Strater in their images as well. We finished the session at the train station, playing in the museum and on the tracks. I tried really hard, but couldn’t narrow my favorite images down to less than 10, so you get a larger than normal sneak preview. I hope you love them!
