Lauren Milliet | Class of 2015 Senior at Durango High School
Lauren’s model session was awesome. It was one of those where everything came together perfectly. Lauren’s hair and makeup was beautiful, by Hair Fusion, of course. She had done some location scouting of her own, so she already knew where she wanted to go; which was La Plata Canyon. It’s one of my favorite places to shoot in the fall and I hadn’t really shot it in the summer much. There were tons of dandelions (and yellow is Lauren’s favorite color, so that was meant to be), plus and old blue bus and a gorgeous waterfall! Lauren’s sister, Katie, was my assistant for the afternoon and she was awesome too! I love Lauren’s family and am so honored they chose to use us again for Lauren’s senior pictures, after we had done her older sister, Brooke’s, senior pictures a few years ago. Katie’s next! But before that, check back for Lauren’s senior session, which I’m sure will be even more awesome!

Fashion Couture Destination Senior
We had the honor and privilege to be part of C. Phelps Photography’s Fashion Couture shoot for her senior models when we went to Omaha for the Seniors Ignite Creative Lighting Retreat a few weeks ago. I felt like I was back in school, shooting in the studio for hours with a bunch of other photographers and a bunch of different equipment that I don’t get to use on a daily basis. It was AWESOME! I loved it and am super excited about the images we produced. The models were stunning and Shalem (Shalem’s Photography) and Cherie (C Phelps Photography) created epic couture looks for every single one of them out of fabric and their creative genius. Inspired by simply being in the same room with the other seniors ignite masterminds, I absolutely loved watching/learning and challenging/pushing myself. Make sure to check out the Seniors Ignite website for a full blog post in the next month or so about the creative lighting retreat itself. In the mean time, check out all these beautiful models!

Shape shifting so I could be who I wanted when I wanted, I could fly if I wanted to. My other choice is mind reading, I like to know what people are thinking.

Ginnie Morse Modeling Images
Ginnie is “technically” one of our DHS Class of 2015 Models, but she’s been working with us for over a year now. This is actually the 3rd time we photographed her, but this time for her “real” model session. You’ll have to check out the gorgeous horse session we did last summer with Ginnie, and then our promo video shoot this past fall! This latest shoot was Free People inspired and I’m super excited about the images! Using more direct sunlight and OCF outside to recreate classic studio lighting techniques has been inspiring! Ginnie is amazing to work with and we won’t spoil any possible surprises here, but you’ll want to check back for her senior session because it may or may not be in a crazy awesome location!

Hailey Warren | Durango Colorado Senior
Hailey is a Class of 2015 Senior Model for us from Durango High School. And she’s awesome. I really loved working with Hailey and I loved the feel and light we managed on her shoot. Hair Fusion did an awesome job with her hair and makeup and I loved the jewelry Hailey brought to wear for her pictures. We ran around downtown for pretty much the whole shoot and even though it looked like it was going to rain the whole time, we managed to finish dry. I’ve been inspired lately to challenge myself on each session with new posing and lighting techniques, so it’s been so much fun to see what we can pull off. A few fun facts about Hailey: She been playing volleyball for 8 years and going on her ninth with the high school, and she also has been swimming her whole life and became a state qualifier as well as Junior Olympic qualifier. Impressive, I’d say! Next session may have to include those achievements – so check back!

Aspyn Harwig’s Senior Model Pictures
Aspyn is stunning. She has the most perfect complexion I’v ever seen and I think she could easily be a professional make up artiest if she wanted. Hair stylist too, actually. She did her own hair and makeup and I was super impressed. She is also super sweet – just as gorgeous of a personality. She is also one of our DHS Class of 2015 Models. We photographed her model session on a friday afternoon/evening, right before the crab apple blossoms really started blooming. She was awesome too work with – totally up for trying everything we could think of – like standing on the edge of the rim at the Fort in the wind, and shooting through the windows at the Chapel up there. I’ll have to take Aspyn shopping with me next time I go too as my personal stylist – I loved her dress and her sequins 😉 I’m already looking forward to our next session!
