Animas High School Senior Pictures in December
Kyla is an Animas High School Class of 2013 Senior and since Animas’s yearbook deadline is a bit later than DHS’s, we just photographed her session last week. It hadn’t gotten too cold yet, so she was able to wear an outfit she brought home from her 3 month stay in Africa! So cool! I hope you love these few of our favorites!

Emilee came in for her senior session directly after her Thanksgiving travel so I was impressed with the awesome outfits she was able to put together on not enough sleep and not much time to do laundry! We had a blast and I hope you love these few of my favorites!

Alden’s session was so great. He’s a DHS Class of 2013 senior and so easy to work with and to photograph. We ran around town on a gorgeous afternoon and talked nonstop about photography, business, etc. Thanks for such an awesome session, Alden, and I hope you love these few of my faves!

It was really fun and we got to drive up to dmr…the funniest moment was when Tori was kicking snow at me to make it look snowy in the pictures! The coolest location was the snowy pond off the highway..
What was the best High School moment so far or what are you going to miss most about High School.
I’m going to miss everyone I go to school with, but also all the fun moments that come along with being young.
What are your future plans after high school?
College!

The office is gorgeous, Allison is sooo friendly and makes the process so easy and fun!

My session was so fun! I love Allison she is so ahhazingly pretty and sweet. My favorite part of the shoot was when we were at the stairs because I loved the location and also that was my favorite outfit! Haha and my mom was at the shoot and she is like my best friend so it was perfect!
What was the best High School moment so far or what are you going to miss most about High School.
The best high school moment had to be the assembly where we seniors recived our senior shirts and picked our clas song, motto and flower! I felt so accomplished because I am so close to graduating:)
What are your future plans after high school?
I am going to go to the fort for my first two years and get my pre reqs out of the way and than go from there finding a good school to go for, for medical school because I want to be a pediatrician assistant or a dermatologist .
What would you like others to know about Allison Ragsdale Photography?
I think people need to know more about the opportunities you get when you join the modeling program!

I’m in the theater troupe 1096 at Durango high school. I’m also president of the Prejudice Elimination Action Team. Also I babysit for a family friend every Tuesday evening.
If you could be a SuperHero? What would your name be and what would be your Superpower?
Teleportress! My power would be the ability to teleport anywhere. I would teleport to people who are upset and alone or need help and people just cant get to them. Also I would teleport to where people are lost and help them get found again! Teleportation could really come in handy on helping people in all honesty.
I would take advantage and save money on gas 😉
Describe your session to someone that was not at the session. (Best part, funniest moment, coolest location, etc)
It was great! I new the kind of picture I wanted and Allison could easily tell what I wanted. Usually I’m pretty bad at communicating exactly what I want. It was really fun doing the super cheesy fall leaves picture (throwing the leaves in the air!) I’m super excited to see how they came out. I really loved taking pictures outside of the Durango Herald doors. It was fun having people walk out and be so confused. I really enjoyed it immensely though and I wish we could have senior pictures for college just so I could do it again 🙂
What was the best High School moment so far or what are you going to miss most about High School.
I’m going to miss this in between stage of being almost an adult so I have a lot of freedom but I don’t have very many real responsibilities. Its great being able to stay out late and be with my friends and see my boyfriend! But I don’t have to pay for it all and I don’t HAVE to have a job and support myself. I feel that’s best part of my life right now and I’ll miss it so much.
What are your future plans after high school?
I’m hoping on going to school in California near the San Francisco area and majoring in Speech language pathology. I hope to be the first woman in my family to get her doctorate.
What would you like others to know about Allison Ragsdale Photography?
She is super nice and super fun to work with. She does her job very well and her zeal for photography is apparent! I highly recommend her. Guaranteed to have a lot of fun!

If you could be a SuperHero? What would your name be and what would be your Superpower?
If I were a superhero, I would be The Director and my power would be the ability to have total control over actors and camera operators. As a filmmaker, it is particularly hard to get your people to do what you want so you can make the film the way you want. If I was The Director, I would always get everything done exactly the way I want!
Describe your session to someone that was not at the session. (Best part, funniest moment, coolest location, etc)
From the start, I had a few specific ideas for my pictures. I wanted to shoot a few pictures with a classic style motorcycle my family possessed which turned out to look very cool. We shot near a creek in the late afternoon which caused the water to turn a aqua-blue color and that looked great as well. Despite the intrusive nature of my cat looking to insert himself in my pictures, we had a great day and the photos are terrific!
What was the best High School moment so far or what are you going to miss most about High School.
I started the video program at Animas High School which eventually became an integral part of my student life. I have watched it transform from a small group of students with very little equipment to a fully staffed program that produces shows that I have created. I think I will miss making these shows the most but I plan of making many more in college and beyond!
What are your future plans after high school?
I plan on attending film school either on the East or West coast. After that, I hope to break into the film industry and make my own films and shows.
What would you like others to know about Allison Ragsdale Photography?
Allison was absolutely amazing and was able to make my session as great is it possibly could be. She let me have a lot of freedom with specific ideas I had for pictures and she was very helpful when I asked for her advice. Shooting was quick, painless, and actually very fun! I wanted to take a couple of pictures at my home and at a special location downtown. With Allison, this was more than possible and the photos came out great. I would recommend Allison any day!

If I were a superhero I would have the power to appear anywhere at any time so I could see the world and be there for others instantly when the need help. My name would be, whisp. I couldn’t think of anything better.
Describe your session to someone that was not at the session. (Best part, funniest moment, coolest location, etc)
I really enjoyed my session, we took a bunch of shots in different settings, urban, natural and in a studio. The part i liked the most was when we took funny pictures of me in girly poses, but I also really like some of the shots we took on the stairs. The funniest moment was when I did a feminine pose on your couch, which was a little small for me!! I feel as if some of the pictures at the river could turn out best i really liked the idea of taking pictures near the water and it looked amazing that day!
What was the best High School moment so far or what are you going to miss most about High School.
I will really miss the relationships that I have with my friends! I have known some if these kids since i was 5 and relations like this are to be treasured and I will miss them for sure! I will also miss the feeling of being able to do what ever because I am a child!!
What are your future plans after high school?
I will be attending the Culinary Institute of America in June and from there I look to be a chef and hopefully own a few restaurants!

Allison Ragsdale Photography is professional, takes amazing pictures, and does everything to embody the ideas the model wishes to express. I would recommend her to everyone looking for quality photos for all occasions in Durango!

Ice skating on the road last year with two of my good friends. Im going to miss just all the people and memories iv made.

I’m not sure yet getting a job for sure though.
