Mikayla’s Candy Store Senior Model Pictures
Mikayla is one of our Durango High School Class of 2014 Senior Models. She has such a bright, fun, sweet personality – which matched the candy store backdrop perfectly. We had a beautiful spring day for her session, which have been few and far between this year; (see Bella’s senior session for snow pictures and Haley’s senior model session for “muddy rain” pictures) – all the same week as Mikayla’s! Spring weather in Colorado is crazy. Hope you love!
Seniors Ignite Studio | Durango to San Diego
Allison Ragsdale Photography is the original (FIRST) Durango Seniors Ignite Portrait studio and we had TWO winners last year! You can see their images here from the original blog post. We also wanted to share a few of our favorites of some of the other awesome models we had the honor of photographing, while in San Diego. Hope you love!

Briana’s Model Session | Spring in Durango, Colorado
Briana is stunning and gorgeous and so much fun to photograph. She wants to be a model, so her Allison Ragsdale Photography Class of 2014 Model Session was a blast! Hair Fusion did an incredible job with her beautiful blonde curls and her pretty green eyes. I loved all of her outfits too! I want to share every single one of her images, so check back for more. These are our most favorite – hope you love!
Bella’s Prom Model Session Class of 2014
Bella’s model session was great. I knew it would be because I had worked with her older brother, Peter, for his senior pictures – and his was great too. It was also her prom trial session – two birds with one stone; as they say. Her prom dress was beautiful – loved the layers and the color. I actually loved all of her clothes. I thought her “business casual” yellow dress and white blazer were just adorable and looked perfect against the blue-green of the river. Thanks for being so much fun to work with and photograph Bella!
Sheila’s Durango High School Senior Model Pictures
Sheila’s session was awesome. Her hair and make up turned out beautifully, per usual, thanks to Hair Fusion. It was a very windy day, which made working with the blue balloons I wanted to use, a bit of a challenge. Sheila was up to it though and I love what we got. Her gorgeous blue eyes were incredible to photograph and I loved her mom’s “vintage” cheerleading uniform she wore with our new red backdrop in the studio. Hope you love!
Bella | Durango Senior Portraits
Bella is one of our Durango High School Senior Models. We had so much fun together on this session. Early in the morning we didn’t know if we really wanted to do it because of the weather. But after chating with Bella we decided that senior pictures in the snow would be amazing. We had planned a super cool earthy look but we got winter wonderland instead. Ok more about Bella: she is one of those kids that you hope your own kids are like. She is invloved in the school and has lots of friends. You can tell why she has so many friends, she is amazing to be around. Not only is she nice but super funny. I think if Bella and I were closer in age we would be best friends (it also helps that she is amazing at volleyball, something I wish I could say about myself). Enjoy these senior pictures and go DHS!!!!
Gaper Day Shoot at Durango Mountain Resort
This shoot was even more fun than it looks; if you can imagine!
Jessica – Fort Lewis College Grad – Durango CO
Jessica and I had a blast on her (incredibly windy) session. She had the BEST shoes and jewelry, so I was loving her outfits! This girl blew me away. She is super busy with school and work (she works seven days a week – like someone else I know (myself)), while going to school full time! And she is such a beauty, inside and out. I hope you love her pictures as much as I do!
Haley – Class of 2014 Model Durango High School
Haley is amazing. We had so much fun working with and photographing her. She was such a good sport too. We originally had planned a beautiful sunny afternoon spring session. What we got was crazy wind gusts, mud literally raining from the sky, and yellowish gray skies from all the dirt in the air. It was so crazy and so fun. We started in the studio, where the weather couldn’t control our shoot. Then, when we headed outside, it was seriously raining mud. Our equipment, our clothes, and Haley, got covered in mud. But the pictures were AWESOME!
Nina – Fort Lewis Senior Grad Portraits
I photographed Nina’s younger sister, Helena, last year, for her HS senior portraits (and of course, had a blast – Helena and her mom were so much fun to work with). Nina is graduating from Fort Lewis College in just two weeks and so we did a college senior portrait session for her graduation announcements. Nina is graduating with a degree in business management and hopes to eventually own her own funeral home/mortuary. So, we photographed her session in a cemetery. It was actually really beautiful – not creepy at all – and loved that is was completely unique to Nina. In fact, I didn’t even know this cemetery existed until Nina showed it to me. My lovely assistant/intern, Lexi, helped me with some amazing off camera lighting and we were able to create some really dark and dramatic imagery. LOVE!
Byron’s Fort Lewis College Senior Pictures
Byron is a Fort Lewis College Class of 2013 Graduate – to – be and I loved working with and photographing him. As I always am, I was blown away by him (my clients are all kinds of amazing). He is the Class President, has a full class load, works, and had to squeeze in his session between multiple internship interviews – a bit busy to say the least. But, as he said when I asked, he thrives when he is busy – which I totally understand. Congrats Byron and best wishes!
