Ellie | Animas High School Senior Portraits
Ellie is amazing to photograph! I am so excited that she chose us to photograph her Animas High School Senior Portraits! She is our one and only Animas High School Class of 2014 Model. I love her gorgeous big blue eyes and pretty long blond hair (not jealous at all over here). The first time I photographed Ellie was for our Class of 2014 Gaper Day Group Model Shoot, which was obviously more fun than it should have been. Then, Ellie made her own incredible red white and blue jean shorts for our Americana Shoot – I was impressed to say the least. So I was very excited when it was finally time for Ellie’s AHS Class of 2014 Model Session! She had some awesome and specific ideas – which I contributed too with corn starch. Yes, you read that right. Erin, one of our amazing interns, blew cornstarch into the air that Ellie could walk through in the forest. I am sure the other hikers were confused – but it worked perfectly! We spent as much time in the water as possible, as it was hot out – Erin and I both felt it necessary to stand in the water with Ellie for these shots. Hope you love!
Emma | Durango Senior Portraits
Emma is such a cutie. We went to Guatemala together and got to photograph a few destination senior portraits there, which was awesome! She is also one of our Class of 2014 Senior Models from DHS, so we did her model session for her Durango senior portraits when we got back from Guatemala. Emma plays the piano, which I adore, so we made sure to use her “vintage” piano in her incredible home for a few portraits. I loved the setting – backlit by windows. We also photographed Emma with her dog, and with her cat, at her home – even in her paint splattered room. We then photographed her in a bunch of flowers – roses and daisies (her favorite) – specifically. We finished the session in our studio, with her backwards cap and fun personality. Hope you love!
Animas High School Senior Photos
Jamie was one of our Animas High School Senior Photos Class of 2013 Models and senior clients. She was so much fun to photograph and I love her smile! She is an awesome skier and so we did both of her sessions up in the mountains – the model shoot in the snow and her senior session in the fall colors. When Jamie told me she wanted to do a friend session – I knew that would be fun too. The river was really muddy and brown from snow melt, so we decided to do the shoot in town; at a park and at the one graffiti wall in town. It really was a fun group of friends and I appreciate that they were up for (almost) everything I suggested!
Ginnie | Durango Senior Pictures
Durango Senior Pictures
Ginnie is our first Class of 2015 Senior Model and we are super excited to have her to add to our Durango Senior Pictures! She was recommended to us by all of our Class of 2012 and Class of 2013 seniors so we knew she would be awesome – and she is! We wanted to photograph some really spectacular “girl and her horse” images so we asked Ginnie to come out to our home and pose with our horses. We hadn’t photographed LA before (the white horse in these images) so we weren’t sure how well it would go – but he behaved himself perfectly! I think he liked the attention. It was a gorgeous evening and we had a mix of cloud cover with a few bursts of sunlight. We finished the session in a creek by our house with an American flag – I loved this session! Book your session today!
Rachel | Durango Senior Photographer
Durango Senior Photographer, Allison Ragsdale Photography, photographed Rachel for her Class of 2014 Senior Model Session in many fun locations; especially with her pink cruiser bike! I had a blast photographing Rachel in her pretty red prom dress downtown, with her pink cruiser in the park, in the purple lilacs, and in the studio. We started the session at Hair Fusion for hair and makeup and Rachel looked so beautiful! Her awesome mom met us at the park with the cruiser and I loved everything we could come up with to do with it!
Kelsey | Durango Colorado Senior Photography
Kelsey was awesome to photograph! I’ve been looking forward to her session since I photographed her older sister, Kayla, for her senior portraits. Kayla now has the cutest one year old daughter, Lillyauna, who I also love and have the honor of photographing! Love Kelsey’s red hair – that was fun for pictures! She loves her truck, that she works two jobs to keep – so we had to use that in her model session portraits. That was really, really fun for me – to be able to photograph a girl and her truck – so thank you Kelsey for that! It was a super windy day, but that didn’t seem to both Kelsey, so we made it work! Hope you love!
Senior Friend Portrait Session | Durango Colorado
These beautiful girls are Class of 2013 DHS graduates. Taylor, Emilee, and Anna are past senior models of ours and we have had the honor of photographing Laura and Natalie for a mini prom student council session – so I had worked with all of them before – and was so excited to photograph their friend session! We started in the studio with black dresses and caps for graduation – loved that idea! We headed outside so we could toss the caps, then we finished the session in a nearby park. Anna had the idea to write on the sidewalk the colleges they are attending this fall, another idea I loved! None of them are going to the same place, but I have a feeling they’ll remain close friends. Congrats ladies!
Class of 2014 Friend Session
I am so excited about our Class of 2014 Models because they are such a fun beautiful group! A few of them got together for a friend session, as part of Jocelyn’s model session, while their friend Maggie was in town. They were beyond adorable together and one of the last images we shot is probably one of my most favorite images I’ve ever shot! Our models, Jocelyn, Sheila, Emily, and Katja are part of this group, then Maggie (who doesn’t live here anymore) and their friends Berkley and Meredith, joined the group. I was laughing the entire time, which is always a good thing! Thanks ladies for letting me capture your friendship and I hope you love these as much as I do!
Destination Senior Portraits Durango to Denver Erin Mull
Erin is one of interns and one of our awesome Class of 2014 Models. She’s one of our first Destination senior portrait clients. We went to Denver for her senior pictures a couple of weeks ago and it was so much fun! We got to photograph in all new locations, including one of our friend’s awesome studio. We stopped on the drive up when we noticed these beautiful fields of wild purple irises with snow covered mountains in the background – that made for a great start to the trip! We finished the drive and the evening at Red Rocks, which makes for a gorgeous backdrop! The next day we started in the studio, then used alleyways, the theater district, and graffiti walls downtown Denver. We took a break to do some shopping, then headed back downtown for a few night shots with the city lights in the background. We were exhausted and hungry but had so much fun! We are so excited to see where our next destination senior sessions will be and who we will be photographing! Hope you love!
Jocelyn | Durango CO Senior Pictures
I LOVED Jocelyn’s Durango CO Senior Pictures Class of 2014 Model Session! I photographed her older sister, Sarah, for her senior portraits, and was so honored Jocelyn wanted to be part of our model program. She is beyond gorgeous and that vintage typewriter – could it get any better!? (Actually, it could, as we photographed her friend session in the middle of her model session and that was just as much fun – come back to see those). Jocelyn has so many awesome shoes and I fell in love with these red ones, especially with the typewriter. It was a gorgeous afternoon and after the typewriter and friend shoot, we finished the session by the Animas River and at Jocelyn’s home. LOVE!
Ashlyn | Bayfield High School Senior Pictures
Ashlyn is such a sweetheart and so beautiful inside and out! I first met her through her awesome mom, Tegan, at Hair Fusion (who does all the beautiful hair and make up for all of our senior models, our seniors, and many of our brides). She was a sophomore when I first met her, so I’ve been eagerly waiting for the end of her junior year since then so she could be part of our model program. She is our first Bayfield High School Senior Pictures Class of 2014 Model and we are so excited to have her! The best part of her session was that we had a random cat come join her who just wouldn’t leave! Loved Ashlyn’s beautiful blue eyes, her awesome outfits, and her fun personality – I could go on and on, but I’ll let her images finish for me.
Emma | Destination Senior Portraits
Emma is one of our Class of 2014 Models from DHS and also part of the Interact Club, which we chaperoned to Guatemala for 11 days this June. It was an absolutely amazing trip and my favorite part was photographing 2 of our senior models (for destination senior portraits) in a 16th century colonial city that is being slowly rebuilt. This was the first time we photographed Emma, as we haven’t done her model session yet, and she was great! I plan to post a long blog about our trip, so check back for that. In the meantime, enjoy!
