Allison Ragsdale Photography Senior Pictures
You’ve seen Erin a few times before for her Allison Ragsdale Photography Senior Pictures. She is one of our awesome Class of 2014 Models so you saw her model session. Then, you saw her vintage camera shoot as part of her internship with us. Then, she was one of our first destination senior portrait shoots when we went to Denver and you saw those pictures too. If you missed any of those, click the links in the previous text. Well, if you thought it couldn’t get better, you were wrong. We took Erin to the Sand Dunes (which are incredible by the way and I can’t wait to go back, hike to the top, and sand board down) for an epic photo shoot. The weather cooperated perfectly and we had incredible skies for sunset and sunrise (yes, we are crazy enough to get up before sunrise to be ready to shoot at sunrise). This is going down in history as one of our favorite sessions ever!

Alyssa and her mom came in for their consultation with a plethora of ideas for her session – which I was super excited about! We used Alyssa’s jeep, her guitar, her banjo, her letter jacket, her lacrosse equipment, a sunhat, awesome jewelry, headbands, and her siblings.
So. Much. Fun.
I’ve loved working with the Swan family since before I met them. When Alyssa’s mom first contacted me about photographing her kids, I knew right away I would love them all. They were our first official session in our newly renovated studio space last summer and I’ve been looking forward to Alyssa’s senior portraits ever since. Alyssa had hair and makeup done at Hair Fusion and she looked beautiful. I absolutely loved her white lace dress with her boots and her guitar – I want to learn to play the guitar just so I can look like Alyssa did with hers. Hope you love these too!
Hanna Animas High School Senior Class of 2014
Hanna Animas High School Senior Class of 2014
Hanna was incredible to work with and photograph! She is a photographer herself and does photojournalism for the Durango Herald. So she understands being behind the camera, but also was a total natural in front of the camera too. She has beautiful blue/green eyes that looked different depending on her outfit. We started with hair and make up at Hair Fusion and Hanna looked stunning. We drove up to DMR for some pictures there (she’s also an awesome skier), shot some downtown and in the studio, and stopped at a friend’s house on the way back into town, making for an incredible session! I was totally in love with her black and white jacket from Renae Marie. And she brought a couple of great hats, which are always fun for pictures. Her hair looked great even after wearing her hats – I was jealous. She brought her camera and her longboard for some pictures, both of which were really fun to shoot. Thanks to Hanna and her mom for such a great session and for the snacks!
Kelsey | Colorado Senior Portraits
Kelsey | Colorado Senior Portraits
Kelsey is one of our stunning DHS Class of 2013 models, who did her senior pictures before school started, so we could use the pretty summer greens and the flowers. She didn’t want her awesome red hair to clash with the fall colors. I have really loved working with Kelsey (and her family) and am so honored they decided to use us again, for Kelsey’s senior pictures. We did her older sister, Kayla’s senior pictures, a few years ago. Then, we were honored to photograph Kayla’s maternity portraits and she and Raymond’s beautiful baby girl, Lillyauna, throughout her first year. I hope this family keeps having reasons for photography (ie: babies and weddings, etc) so I can keep working with them!
Riley | Senior Portraits Animas High School Durango Colorado

Riley’s session was so much fun! Not only was she adorable but the locations were unbelievable. First off she was able to get us into the Tacoma power plant which over 100 years old and only accessible by train. Therefore you can imagine the excitement of hopping on a train car on the way to a senior shoot! On top of the amazing historic location she picked some of the cutest outfits to wear among the rugged locations. Not many people can say they were able to wear cute heels while stepping over industrial pipes and dodging spiders. We then went to The Old Schoolhouse which features an amazing old school bus that Riley effortlessly paired with a cheerleader-esque ensemble. We all had too much fun going from historic buildings to funky school buses and then finally returning to the studio for some adorable pink dress pictures.

Eva is such a beauty! She has gorgeous thick hair and stunning blue eyes. She’s our last Durango High School Class of 2014 Model and we had so much fun photographing her model session! We’ve actually already photographed her senior session as well, so make sure to come back to see those too. We were going for a more “high fashion” themed model session and Eva rocked it. We started in the studio, then headed out downtown for some more urban backgrounds and settings. We finished in a rose garden, as Eva’s middle name is rose. There were so many gorgeous roses and they smelled amazing. Sometimes we actually get into some pretty awful smelling plants, so roses are always a really nice change. Hope you love!
Danielle | Bayfield Colorado Senior Picture
Danielle | Bayfield Colorado Senior Picture
Danielle is adorable and hilarious – I had such a blast photographing her model session! She is one of our incredible Bayfield High School Class of 2014 Senior Models and we got her in for her model session right before school started. Danielle is the youngest of her siblings and we were honored to have photographed her older sister, Makaila, for her senior pictures a few years ago. It’s always wonderful working with a family for the second, third, fourth, etc time – love getting to know our clients so well they become friends! Danielle is such a fun person, that of course we had to jump in the puddles from an earlier rain storm. We laughed pretty much the entire session, especially whenever I asked Danielle for a serious face – those are tough to pull off on command! Hope you love these and come back to see Danielle’s senior session too!
Devin | Durango Colorado Senior Model from Bayfield
Devin | Durango Colorado Senior Model from Bayfield
Devin is officially one of my favorite people – to photograph and to just be around. She is our last Class of 2014 Model, from Bayfield High School. She is inspiring, easy going, beautiful (inside and out), and so much fun to shoot! I hardly had to pose her at all – she knew just what to do and looked amazing doing it. She brought her whole closet for her model session, which was spread all over her car. I loved her shoe and jewelry choices and every single one of her outfits. She’s so crafty that after she realized she had forgotten her head band at home, she made one by hand, while having her hair and make up done! I was very impressed and it turned out awesomely (probably not a word). I also love her hair, which is so super long which makes me jealous. I kept coming up with Garnier Nutrisse hair commercial poses. I love all of these images from her model session so much that I can’t imagine outdoing ourselves again on her senior session tomorrow afternoon, but we’ll do our best!
Brynne’s Horse Portrait Session Durango CO
Brynne’s Horse Portrait Session Durango CO
Brynne is a junior at Durango High School this year and an impressive horse woman. She and her adorable horse, Scooter, make quite the team, whether in the arena or on Brynne’s horse portrait session Durango CO! They were so much fun to photograph together and even though I was warned Scooter can be spooky, he behaved perfectly for Brynne. I could see his trust in her. Brynne and I “met” a few years ago when she wrote a article for El Diablo about the “Prom Dress in Skiis” photo shoot with did with Boutique Couture. She had to remind me of that, but I remember it well now. Brynne is really beautiful, inside and out, and I hope to work with her and incredible family again soon!
Logan’s Senior Pictures Durango High School
Logan is another of our gorgeous DHS Class of 2014 Senior Models AND she is the 2013 La Plata County Fair Queen. She is also a cheerleader and I’m sure she’s involved in tons of things I don’t even know about. I don’t know how she does it all! For Logan’s senior pictures Durango High School Model session, we started at Hair Fusion, of course, for hair and make up. We shot downtown for a bit, then in the Santa Rita rose garden, and finished at my favorite fence. Logan is gorgeous, as I’ve already said, and I loved photographing her! I can’t wait for her senior session so I can work with her again!
Emma | Durango Model Photography Class of 2014
Emma was beyond amazing to work with and photograph! Her session is one of my all time favorites – probably because she wanted to include her “old” camera in it 🙂 We shot her session way up north, in a daisy field. It was absolutely gorgeous! The mountain backdrops up that high are stunning and how can you go wrong with thousands of daises? I don’t think you can. Emma is part of our Durango model photography Class of 2014, being one of our DHS models. Emma also plays tennis, so she brought a few tennis balls, her racket, and a jersey. That was a lot of fun for me too – I love trying to create new poses with props that aren’t too cheesy. It helped that the tennis court we used is in the mountains and Emma seriously is one of the most natural in front of the camera people I know. She easily created her own amazing poses – I had way too much fun and took way too many portraits – I love my job!
