Lindsay’s Durango High School Senior Pictures
Lindsay’s session was so much fun. We decided to use Sleeping Beauty Ranch as our first location early in the morning, needless to say their property had everything to offer us! From gorgeous flowers that stuck around just long enough for us to use them, to rustic barn wood, and their signature lake with a dock. Lindsay had an adorable look for each and every scene we encountered not to mention she was able to have perfect outfits for the cold weather that morning. I absolutely love the image with bright pink flowers, no one would ever be able to guess it was a freezing cold fall morning. Hope you enjoy!

Laura’s Fall Leaves Senior Pictures
Laura is always so much fun to work with and this shoot was no exception. In the search for fall colors that happened to come late this year we began by shooting at the entrance to Electra Lake which provided us with amazing reds and greens. Then in order to get the bright yellow aspen leaves we headed further north, also meaning getting much colder. Laura was such a champ in the cold even willing to put on her amazing floral dress and light sweater. It seemed like everyone was in search of these saturated colors with multiple cars pulled over on the side of the road to shoot this same location, Laura was no short of smiles despite the crowd. Hope you enjoy these images!
Devin’s Sunset Senior Photos
Devin’s Sunset Senior Photos
Devin was a model for us (from Bayfield High School, class of 2014) over the summer and I am still jealous of her amazingly long hair! Her session was so much fun we got a late start to be able to catch the amazing sunsets Colorado is well known for. We spent some time shooting in downtown Durango to allow for a more urban look but the real treat was shooting out at Pastorus Lake south of Durango. Devin has an amazing ability to strike a pose with out having to even think about it and always look great. She was so easy and fun to work with in this setting so we had no shortage of stunning images. Hope you love these images!
Robin’s Fall Colors Durango Senior Photos
Robin’s Fall Colors Durango Senior Photos
Robin is so much fun to photograph! She is one of our Durango High School Class of 2014 Models and she joined our model program while still living in Alaska last spring. On her spring break, she came home and we shot her model session, which was so much fun! She was part of our Red White & Blue group shoot and our group night shoot AND our homecoming fashion dress shoot, which were all awesome. So I couldn’t wait for her senior session! She wanted fall colors, so we headed north to find a few (as our fall colors turned about 2 weeks later this year than normal). It was one of the first few days of the season that felt like fall as it felt like it got dark and cold earlier than normal. Hope you love!

Sheila’s Durango View Senior Pictures
Sheila is one of our awesome DHS Class of 2014 Senior Models and is a blast to be around! Be sure to check out her model session, where we decided to use blue balloons as a prop on the windiest day of the spring! Sheila’s senior session was just a much fun as her model session, where we ended up going on a mini hike to get an incredible view of Durango up behind her house. We started in the studio, with Sheila’s lamp dress (you’ll have to ask her about that). Erin (another awesome model of ours and our awesome intern) and I were not completely prepared for this mini hike in terms of footwear, but that’s why it’s always an adventure and so much fun. We made it and it was totally worth the hike! I loved the view and the desert feeling, which was totally unique to Sheila’s shoot. We finished the session by borrowing a neighbor’s old truck for a backdrop. Hope you love!

Kendra’s Bayfield Senior Photos
Kendra is one of our Class of 2014 Bayfield High School models and senior portrait clients. We had a great session for her senior session and I loved her outfits. She brought all kinds of fun patterns and colors that I love but would never wear myself – I think I like to live my fashion life vicariously through my seniors. I wear no color and no patterns – solid neutrals are my thing – so it’s so much fun for me when my clients show up with patterned leggings, polka dot dresses, etc. We started in the studio, then went up to Baker’s Bridge – always an awesome location to photograph. Hope you love!

Stephen’s Animas High School Senior Pictures
Stephen is a Class of 2014 Animas High School senior and an awesome guy! For his senior session, I followed him around in his beautiful Miata, and we finished the outdoor portion of the shoot right as it started pouring rain! What a storm! I feel like so many of my crazy session stories have to do with the weather – but it always turns out great. Like when it literally rained mud on Haley’s model session. Or flooded the streets on Stephen’s shoot – but we got such awesome dramatic skies and unique lighting – so I embrace the crazy Colorado weather. I really enjoyed working with and photographing Stephen and I hope you love his images as much as I do!
Amanda’s Senior Photography (with her sister)
Amanda’s Senior Photography (with her sister)
When I photographed Amanda’s older sister, Kerry, for her senior portraits, Amanda came along for some sister portraits. Well, when we photographed Amanda’s senior session, we had to bring Kerry so we could update the sister portraits by a few years. These two are adorable together and remind me of my sister and I. We repeated a few classic poses that ended up on the wall from the last session, and laughed the whole time. This family is hilarious and I was so honored they chose us for the first daughter, and now again for their second. Amanda is one of our Class of 2014 DHS models as well, so I’ve been honored to work with her multiple times now. We had a great time running around the north end of Durango, capturing the last of the summer flowers, the train, and Amanda.

Bella’s Senior Photos in Durango, CO
Bella is such a natural beauty, inside and out. She is another of our stunning Durango High School Senior Models, Class of 2014, and I’ve loved photographing her and getting to know her. I knew she would be awesome because I had worked with her brother, Peter, for his senior portraits, and their mom when he came through – and I love this family. So when we did Bella’s model session and prom trial shoot at the same time last spring, we had a blast. Bella’s senior session was just as awesome. I loved her unique ideas for locations, such as her new backyard and a storefront downtown. I’m just as excited to see her metal mural go up on the wall with Peter’s and to design her grad cards next spring. Hope you love!
Kait’s Fall Color Durango Senior Pics
Kait’s Fall Color Durango Senior Pics
As I’m sure you’ve noticed, the colors changed later than normal this year. So for 2 weeks straight, I drove north to find color for weddings and senior sessions, including Kait’s. I absolutely loved the spots we did find, both right off the highway; hidden treasures. I love photographing Kait as she has such incredible eyes. She rocked it on her DHS Class of 2014 model session, and didn’t disappoint on her senior session. I loved all of her outfits, but I think my favorite was her homecoming dress, which we finished with in the studio – I adore the lace back! Thanks Kait for such awesome sessions!

Emma | Durango High School Senior Pictures
Emma is one of our gorgeous Durango High School Senior Pictures Class of 2014 Models and she is way too much fun to photograph! I loved every second of photographing her model session (up north in a field of daisies, etc, etc – check it out) and I couldn’t wait for her senior session. She showed up with all kinds of fun stuff, including bubbles, rain boots, and an umbrella. We couldn’t get the bubbles to work – whose ever heard of defective bubbles!? – and it didn’t rain during Emma’s session (though it did rain about an hour after) – but that didn’t matter. We found other ways to “make it rain” – literally. We picked apples instead of blowing bubbles and shot water into the air from a garden hose to make it rain. It was awesome, obviously, and I hope you love these as much as I do!

Durango High School Theater Senior Pictures
Sarah is one of our Class of 2014 DHS Models and part of one of our favorite families here in Durango. We just love her awesome mom, Anne, and her gorgeous older sister, Emily, whom we photographed for her senior portraits when she was a senior. We had been planning on using the theater at DHS for her senior session since we planned her model session, last spring, so I was very excited when it all worked out. I loved using the stage lights and we were so lucky that they happened to be testing the smoke machine at the same time as Sarah’s shoot! We finished outside, up at the Lion’s Den, which worked perfectly with Sarah’s look. What a beauty!
