Lauren’s Senior Portraits in Durango CO
Lauren’s Senior Portraits in Durango CO
Lauren is a Durango High School Class of 2014 Senior. She is also a cheerleader and is competing this weekend – possibly while I type this! She is awesome and we had so much fun on her senior shoot! We started at Hair Fusion for hair and makeup, then shot downtown at a few of my most favorite locations. Lauren’s mom, Marianne, had some really great pose ideas and one of my favorite images of Lauren is on the spiral staircase downtown where she has her legs up on the post going through the middle of the staircase – all Marianne! We shot a few mother daughter portraits as well – I love doing those and I think all my seniors’ parents should jump in a few shots! My second favorite image is of Lauren in the grass, where you really have to look through it. It was a gorgeous fall morning and we made the most of it! We finished in the studio with some fun cheerleading jumps and we had a lot of fun with Lauren’s new poms. I hope you love them all!

Emma’s Senior Pictures With Her Horse
Emma’s Senior Pictures With Her Horse
Emma’s session was one of my favorites from this senior season! She is a Durango High School Class of 2014 Senior and another huge Harry Potter fan (there are quite a few of those in the Class of 2014, at least that I know of from their senior pictures). She also loves horses so we had to include her horse and her dressage clothing for a few images. I love horses myself, so I am always very excited for sessions that include horses. Emma brought lots of awesome props, like books, shoes with maps on them (seriously awesome, check them out), vintage cameras, and an elephant parasol. I think Emma is beyond adorable and I loved the way her hair and make up turned out from Hair Fusion. We finished the session in the studio, as we shot outside until it got too dark to continue to do so. I hope you love all of these as much as I do!

Hannah’s Fun Senior Photos
Hannah’s Fun Senior Photos
Hannah is a Class of 2014 Bayfield High School Senior and such a sweetheart. When she and her mom came in for their consultation, they brought Hannah’s grandmother, as she was visiting. Hannah asked if she could have a few portraits taken with her grandmother – the answer, of course, was yes! They were beyond adorable together! The rest of Hannah’s session was just as fun, using props such as a huge stack of books and a volleyball. Hannah ended up in the river for a few shots and the water was freezing! Hope you love!
Emma’s Senior Session
Emma’s Senior Session
Emma is the 3rd daughter of the Marshall’s (who are some of my most favorite people in the whole world). Colin, Emma’s oldest sister, was in our “inaugural” model program, then Taylor, Emma’s next older sister, was also in our model program and was one of our winners for Seniors Ignite, 2013! So we were beyond honored and excited to have Emma as a model and senior client for our studio, Class of 2014. I really like Emma and love how different each of the sisters are – I can’t wait to get to know and photograph the youngest Marshall, and only brother, Jack. I did get to photograph all 4 siblings last spring, which was a blast, and can’t wait to do it again! We timed Emma’s senior session perfectly for the fall colors and even though I’m sure Emma was slightly concerned about the strange places I was finding that fall color (college apartment complexes, etc), I love the way her portraits turned out! I hope you do too!

Cindy’s Senior Photos | La Plata County Fair Queen
Cindy is one of our awesome Durango High school Class of 2014 Senior Portrait clients. She is also the youngest sister of Mark, who we photographed for his senior pictures a few years ago. His session was on one of those freezing cold in between fall and winter days, where eventually he got so cold that he couldn’t move his lips to smile! Cindy’s session wasn’t much warmer. Her session was the day after one of the early snow storms we got this year so it was gorgeous because we had fall colors and snow, but it wasn’t warm. Cindy brought shorts and skirts, so we tried to do a few of those in the studio before we headed outside. Her sweaters, boots, and vest came in handy. Cindy is also the current La Plata County Fair Queen, so I feel very honored to photograph her. I hope you love these portraits!

Erin’s Senior Session in Durango Colorado
Erin’s Senior Session in Durango Colorado
Erin is a Durango High School Class of 2014 Senior – and so much more to us. She’s been interning with us for almost a year now and we love her like family! She was our first 2014 model to be photographed and we’ve photographed her more than anyone else, ever, probably. We went on 2 destination senior portrait sessions with Erin; one to Denver and one to the Sand Dunes. They were both incredible! Then of course, she has her model session, her senior session, and a fun vintage camera session we did just for fun. She also participated in our Red White & Blue group session and our Cruiser Bike session/first aerial video. To see any of her other sessions, click any/all of these links: Erin’s Model Session, Erin’s Vintage Camera Session, Erin’s Destination Denver Session, Erin’s Sand Dune’s Session. Erin made it to the finalists for Seniors Ignite this year and we are so excited for her! Hope you love these images from her senior session!

Natalie’s Snowy Senior Pictures
Natalie’s Snowy Senior Pictures
Natalie is one of our awesome Class of 2014 DHS Senior Models and a huge Harry Potter fan. She is also loves the snow – maybe more than Harry Potter – but don’t quote me on that. So, since it had snowed right before Natalie’s pictures, we had to go up and use it! Natalie’s family has a cabin in La Plata Canyon, so that’s where we went for her session. It was gorgeous up there – still perfectly turned with fall colors and a few inches of fresh snow. We had a great time and we finished the session at a local antique store, that Natalie had been wanting to use since her model session last spring. Hope you love!

Heather’s Fall Senior Pictures
Heather’s Fall Senior Pictures
Heather’s fall senior session was a blast. Her model session was as well, so I knew this one would be good! She was up for anything and everything and she loved all of her pictures, like she did last time. She’s just a pleasure to work with and is so much fun to photograph. Originally, she had wanted snow pictures but it wasn’t looking like it was going to snow before the yearbook deadline and definitely not before the Seniors Ignite Entry deadline! Of course, it did snow, a lot, 2 days after her session. Murphy’s Law, right!? Lexi showed us an incredible new location for portraits, so Heather got this super unique shoot, since I had never shot there before. Hope you love!

Tatiana is a Durango High School Class of 2014 Senior. She is also gorgeous, with red hair and blue/green eyes (depending on what she’s wearing. Which was always awesome (what she was wearing). She brought a couple of incredible dresses, awesome shoes, and her hair and make up from Hair Fusion looked amazing too. She also had a couple of button up denim shirts, one with a great cut out on the back and the other with little white polka dots – I fell in love with them both. We had a blast! We started in the studio, then headed over to my favorite old building. Then we went north, to find some perfectly turned fall leaves. It was a gorgeous afternoon, with a gorgeous subject. Hope you love!
Maddie’s Headshots in Durango Colorado
Maddie’s Headshots in Durango Colorado
Maddie is awesome. She’s a past senior portrait client and I’ve now also photographed her family portraits and her younger brother, Jack’s for his senior portraits. All of those sessions were so much fun so I was very excited to photograph Maddie again this summer, while she was home from school. She is studying acting and I expect her to be super successful! So keep an eye out 😉 She needed new head shots and hadn’t been happy with the ones she had done previously elsewhere. So, we played with a tons of different backdrops, outfits, and lighting scenarios in the studio. Maddie has such incredible features, like her beautiful blue yes – she made my job so much fun! Hope you love these few she chose to represent her and get her started in her career!

Sydney’s Senior Photos in Durango Colorado
Sydney is one of our awesome Class of 2014 Senior Model from Durango High School. Both her model session, and he senior session, were so much fun because of how much creative thought Sydney into them. I absolutely loved all of her outfits on her senior session and also loved her ideas for a few dramatically lit portraits in the Strater Hotel. She’s a dancer, so I also loved the images of her looking into the sun as it set, dancing around the Gazebo at Rotary Park. I also loved her black heels and am currently trying to find myself a similar pair 🙂 Hope you love!
Elisa’s Senior Pictures in Durango Colorado
Elisa’s Senior Pictures in Durango Colorado
Elisa found out about us through Christy, at Sleeping Beauty Ranch. We absolutely love photographing there – weddings, families, and seniors – so we were beyond excited to photograph Elisa at SBR! Elisa is from Las Cruces, New Mexico, and she came all the way to Durango for her senior pictures this summer. Her brother goes to school at Fort Lewis, so she and her family spend time here to watch him play up there. We started the day at Hair Fusion, for hair and makeup. Elisa is beautiful and she looked amazing! I’ve always wanted long dark hair like hers. I loved Elisa’s outfits and not only did we use the pond and dock at SBR, but we also used the beautiful flowers, the awesomely rustic barn, and some “random” spots that I’ve not used before for pictures. Those were some of Elisa’s favorites. It’s always such an honor to photograph seniors who make such a trek for us to take their senior pictures!
