Karli is one of our Durango High School Class of 2012 Senior Models, and our last one of the year to photograph. Karli had to wait a bit for her model session, as she broke her back earlier this year – ouch! She is a runner and I can’t imagine how hard it was to not be able to run while she healed. Wow, what an amazing model program we have this year! Make sure to stop by Hair Fusion to check out all of our models and Hair Fusion’s amazing hair and make up artistry! Karli’s portrait will be hanging on their walls soon too. So, we started at Hair Fusion, of course. We all gushed over how gorgeous Karli’s hair is. Then we headed over to the First National Bank of Durango because I had spotted some yellow lilies earlier than I wanted to use in Karli’s pictures. After that, we headed up to Fort Lewis College, and more specifically, the trees next to the McPherson Chapel. We played in the trees and grass for a while, then tried to use the Lion’s Den, but there was an event going on, so we used the pretty sagebrush (you probably don’t hear it described that way very often, but I really do love the color) next to it instead. Then we headed back down to “triangle park” to finish with more trees and grass. Karli was so fun to photograph and her beautiful mom, Val, was great at getting really genuine smiles from Karli. I can’t wait for Karli’s senior session, we’ve got a long list of ideas for it already! I hope you love these few of my faves!
