Head shots get the rep of being the opposite of exciting (I supposed you could say boring). Not in my opinion though. Because head shots are about you and who you are – who you want to portray yourself as, they end up being personal and I end up getting to know my subject better than before the headshot. There usually aren’t props – nothing between the subject and myself (and my camera, which is an extension of me) so there’s usually a lot of laughing and joking and being present. What fun! Plus, I get to meet and work with so many incredible people! Bob, for example. I loved getting to chat with him about what he’s up to now and so many of the places he’s been and the things he’s done. Thanks for that!
