Tara & Carl were married in Telluride, at the top of Coonskin Run, on January 14, 2011. It was an absolutely gorgeous day and Tara & Carl were an absolutely gorgeous couple. We rode the gondola (stuffed full with 8 of us: Tara & Carl, Matt and I, and 4 of Tara & Carl’s closest friends/family) to the top of the mountain and photographed their intimate ceremony, then some bride & groom portraits afterward. Tara was so tough, wearing open toe heels in the snow for the ceremony. She changed into adorable cowgirl boots with striped socks after the ceremony, so I felt better about her toes. Tara & Carl were up for all of our suggestions and had a few ideas of their own, which I always love. We had such a great time with this group – lots of laughs and a pleasure to spend time with! They stayed at the Telluride Mountain Lodge, which was not only convenient, as we could walk to the gondola from the lodge, but they were able to ski straight to their door! The moon was out above the beautiful snow covered mountains, which made for great portraits. I’ve included my absolute favorite image from their wedding, with them walking away in to the sun, silhouetted. Nice, huh?! Hope you love the sneak preview!
