Senior Model Friend Photoshoot in Durango
Senior Model Friend Photoshoot in Durango
These ladies were too much fun to photograph and never ran out of ideas! I think we could still be shooting if it wasn’t for our respective busy schedules. Katie and Mariah are 2 of our Durango High School Class of 2015 Models and are always awesome to work with. I’ve been fighting the flannel trend for years and I think after this shoot I might be coming around to it because some of my favorite images are of the girls in their flannels. Makes me feel warm and cozy. We ended up needing to shoot in the middle of the day (12 noon, as a matter of fact) as that’s the only thing that worked for everyone’s schedule, so we found as much shade as we could find (near the Bar D) and used the beautiful pine tree forest Durango has to offer. LOVE!

These three are adorable, gorgeous, and need to take me shopping next time I go! I loved their outfits (even the footie pajamas). Hanna was one of our Animas High School Class of 2014 seniors and Rachel is one of our Class of 2015 models and seniors – and Martina is one of their best friends whom I didn’t get to photograph for her senior pictures, but I did get to shoot for prom! The images of them in the grassy field remind me of a few Free People shoots I’ve seen, which makes me feel awesome. Loved spending the morning with these ladies and am so excited to see what they all do over the next few years.

“Watch Netflix” is the most common answer so far to my question: “what do you guys like to do together”? I ask my seniors that when they do friends shoot together so we can capture them doing things they love to do. Well, I haven’t come up with an awesome Netflix idea yet, so we “settled” for a million other activities with these two, including; ice cream, soccer, riding on a tractor, sitting on fences, laying on hammocks, swinging on tree swings, and hanging out in long grass (always a favorite look of mine). These two are adorable, as you can see, and I hope they cherish these forever!
