We first met Allison Ragsdale when I was 8 months pregnant with our first child. We wanted to get professional maternity pictures taken and had seen some of Allison’s work in the past, so we decided to make an appointment to meet with her. Upon entering her studio we were immediately impressed with the amazing photos adorning the walls and the variety of unique products from which to choose. After our initial consultation we became increasingly excited. She had some great idea for our photo session yet was also willing to work with our ideas and cater to our personal style. We really weren’t sure what to expect from the session as this was the first time we had taken professional pictures but Allison put our minds at ease with her professionalism and kind nature. When we arrived at the studio the day of our session we were both excited and hopeful. Not knowing what we were doing, Allison gently guided us throughout the entire session and had some very creative ideas for our poses that I would have never thought of. We really appreciated her patience and the time she took to make sure we got the shots we wanted. We did not feel like just another customer. Allison made us feel valued and sincerely seemed to enjoy sharing this experience with us. As we left the studio we were beyond pleased with the service we received and could not wait to see our pictures! About two weeks later, Allison called us to tell us our pictures were ready for us to view. We had expected the photos to be nice but what we saw when we got there blew us away! Allison had taken all of our best shots and created a beautiful slideshow set to music. It was extremely obvious that she had spent quite a bit of time making sure she delivered the best product possible. We were then able to go through the photos one by one and decide which ones we would like in prints. Honestly it was very difficult to decide which ones we would like to purchase as they were all so amazing so we chose two to buy as prints and had the rest put into a small book. Once the prints and books were ready, we could not have been more pleased. The photos looked amazing on the computer but the actual prints were beyond beautiful and the book was even better than we had imagined as well. That night, we decided that we would love to work with Allison again once our baby was born. We knew we wanted professional newborn pictures of our little boy and could not have imagined anyone better than Allison Ragsdale to give us exactly what we wanted. Our second session with Allison was just as wonderful as the first. She was very patient with us, shooting in between diaper changes, wardrobe changes, and feedings. Again, she offered creative ideas and worked beautifully with our baby, who was wide awake the entire time. These were our first pictures as a family and it was very important to us to have not only quality prints but a memorable experience during the session. Allison went above and beyond to make sure that both of these desires were realized. When we saw the slideshow she had created of our newborn’s session it literally brought tears to my eyes. Allison had brought our dream photos to life once again. After having such amazing experiences working with Allison Ragsdale, we look forward to future photo sessions with her. She is a wonderful photographer dedicated to a degree of quality and professionalism that is unsurpassed.
