Shirleen and Troy came in from Houston for the weekend, to get some more wedding planning done, and to have their engagement portraits taken. They will be married August 6, 2011 up at Silverpick Lodge and I can’t wait for their wedding! Shirleen had seen some e-session portraits we had done in the past that she liked, up at the Lion’s Den, so we headed there first. It was a gorgeous morning – slightly cooler than it had been, which was nice. There happened to be a group of hikers taking a break at the Lion’s Den when we arrived, so we just worked around them. Shirleen and Troy were so fun to photograph and even though they kept talking about how awkward they were in front of the camera, I never saw it. They did great and were up for everything we suggested! Troy had been hoping for some portraits at the train station, but when we drove by, there wasn’t a single train at the station! I forget how busy the train is during the summer. So, we headed over to Rotary Park to use the train bridge and tracks there. Then, we ended the session at Junction Creek, as the Animas River was raging and brownish (not it’s usual pretty blue/green color – but not quite it’s chocolate milk color either). I loved so many of their images; hope you love these few!
